hallo wobb! are these all china marker? i've never used it to draw -- what is it like, and what purpose do you feel it best serves? is it pastelly or chalky? does it blend (haha)?
Hey Ian. These are actually nupastel. Imagine charcoal but a bit stickier. sometimes chalky. It smears nicely and you can pull out the highlights with a kneaded eraser.
China marker is like a crayon. It's waxy and pretty much permanent on paper. Like it says, it's very marker like.
Hey man thanks for stopping by the old blog. I love your china marker stuff. You got a nice style man. I miss that UVSC art atmosphere, it's like reading rainbow.... Jordy out.
Dude, the eerie phone camera lighting made me think that you had gone down one last time to say goodbye to Titanic and found these old drawings locked away in the ship's strongbox and your minisub took these photos before the tether was accidentally severed going through a jagged porthole and you lost contact. Seriously though nice drawings, I love what you've drawn and I almost like what you didn't draw more, if that makes sense. Saltopus indeed.
